Knife designs
Over the years I have been fortunate enough to use many different knife designs, for a variety of outdoor applications.
from off the shelf production knives to handmade custom pieces. The tools you see below, are inspired by some of the best, but adapted to work better with my own understanding of edge geometry, steel and body mechanics, to aid in increased cutting efficiency, control and confidence. I love using these designs on a daily basis and hope that you will too.

The Evo Pro,
wilderness knife
"The Evo Pro is a medium sized, incredibly sturdy knife, fit for all tasks including battoning, processing wood and carving projects. Comfortable with or without gloves and an excellent companion for Wilderness travel."
The Evo pro is the culmination of my many years of using a "Woodlore" pattern bushcraft knife in the woods. I have had many different examples, some made my myself, some by other makers. After some time I started to realise a few things I would like to change about the "Woodlore" pattern. Since then, my own variant, the Evo Pro has evolved.
The first change I made was the steel. O1 was a good steel, but I wanted rust resistance and higher edge performance. I therefore opted for AEB-L, a high quality stainless with great edge retention and high toughness.
The next change was the grind angle. To increase edge retention and cutting performance, I opted for a slightly higher 23 degree Scandi grind, to give the edge more bite.
The handle is also different. It is deeper, but narrower. This enables the knife to be held in a more solid grip without causing hand fatigue over extended periods of use. It also stabilises more securely for heavy power cuts.
I make the Evo Pro in a variety of handle materials, from G10 or Micarta to various beautiful stabilised woods. I fit the scales on with the strongest and most reliable fittings and epoxy possible. The Evo Pro is designed to be comfortable in most hands and very secure when wearing gloves in colder conditions.

The Leshy field knife
"Named after the Slavic Forest spirit, the Leshy is a lightweight, compact and razor sharp Nordic style knife. Tough and highly capable, you wont even know your carrying it!"
I am a huge fan of Scandinavian style knives. When I decided to add one to the line up, naturally I started using it a hell of a lot myself. The Leshy takes inspiration from the finish Puukko, the utility knife of the Sami in Northern Sweden,
characterised by its slim blade, straight spine and upwards curving belly.
These attributes lend the Leshy to be an excellent knife for intricate carving, game prep and general utility. The knife has a slim but deep hybrid barrel / coke bottle handle, which makes it comfortable in the hand, yet adds grip to prevent your hand from wandering towards the razor edge during use.

The Kestrel

"A lightweight knife, perfect for carving and campcraft"
Designed as a crafting and forest knife for small to large sized hands, the Kestrel prioritizes precision and cutting ability over brute force. with its oval shaped handle, and minute choil and narrow taper, this knife is perfect for extensive carving, bark work and game prep. It is however built to withstand other more strenuous tasks, such as battoning and light chopping.
this knife is an excellent choice for temperate woodland, or for those who require a bit more finesse without compromising strength.
The kestrel is available in various different handle materials, from G10 to beautiful stablilised wood, I personally feel this design is best suited to Wood.

The Dryad Bowie
The Dryad bowie is a collaboration between myself and Andrew Thomas Price of Dryad Bushcraft and global Ambassador for Bushcraft Magazine.
The knife is designed to fill the roles of a variety of tools one would carry in a wilderness setting. I personally lean towards this tool when I am wild camping without an axe. The Dryad is effective for heavy battoning, chopping, slashing and very powerful cutting. despite its larger size, it is also balanced to offer effective performance for finer work, notches and carving projects ect, its a very comfortable and versatile tool to have on your hip, that really does handle whatever you put it through with grace and performance.

handle length - 5 inches
grind - 22 degree scandivex
steel - AEB-L or 14c28N

Andrew thomas Price founder of Dryad Bushcraft.
"As a youngster, growing up in the 1980's, there was only one knife design that mattered. The Bowie Knife, with it's iconic clip point blade was the knife of choice for Hollywood hero's. Jeremiah Johnson, Rambo, Crocodile Dundee and more recently, Aldo Raine in Inglorious Bastards all toted a big Bowie knife. When I first became interested in Survival and Bushcraft I tried a lot of Bowie Knives, from the Sog Government and Classic Ka Bar, to the impressive Cold Steel Trailmaster Bowie. While they performed well at some tasks none of them could truly perform as a general purpose Bushcraft and Survival Tool.
As my knowledge grew, I found myself using a range of different Bushcraft knives, mostly with drop point or traditional Puukko style blades, but I never gave up my yearning for the perfect Bowie Knife.
The Dryad Bowie is the result of many years of knife trials, and a collaboration with Joshua of Fyrd Woodland Blades. It may not be quite as impressive as Crocodile Dundee's chopper, but it's a knife that works in the real world. From felling small trees to butchering a Deer or carving a spoon, the Dryad Bowie will perform flawlessly. What's more, owning a Dryad Bowie will make you feel like an action hero."

The Leshy Pro
The Leshy Pro is the newest variantion of the Leshy family, a slightly larger knife, with an 11cm spear point blade. The spear point, not only aids in jobs such as opening up bark or skinning game, but also aids scraping material with the spine. the blade is also slightly more forward facing, rather than an upswept blade for carving, it gives a bit more bite for cutting.
The Leshy pro is available in a variety of handle materials and sheath options, from stabilized wood and leather to synthetics such as micarta, G10 and kydex.
